Our Communities & Partnerships

We offer subscription service to the communities in a 50 mile radius of Newark, within the counties of Delaware, Fairfield, Licking, and Perry. Big O Refuse has contracts with the following communities: the Villages of Ashley, Buckeye Lake, Galena, Granville, Hanover, Hartford Hebron, Johnstown, Millersport, South Zanesville and the Townships of Burlington, Granville, Hartford, Monroe, St. Albans, Union, and Washington. Big “O” hauls trash and recyclables for the Granville Exempted School District. Call to learn if service is available in your area.

2010 Scholarship Recipients

Seven graduating seniors – Claire Parsons (GHS), Courtney Bricker (Heath), Talia Harvey (Johnstown), Mariyah Lowe (LVHS), Ashley Harris (Millersport), Alivia Gaulke (NHS), and Jessica Yancey (C-TEC/Northridge) – were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Big “O” Refuse to pursue their education at OSU-N or COTC. The students were chosen based on their strong work ethic, academic record, recommendations from teachers or community members, and an essay on how they plan to give back to their community after high school.

The Big “O” Refuse Scholarship award will be available again for the graduating seniors of 2011. If you or someone you know attends a High School in an area where Big "O" provides service and are interested in applying for the scholarship, please contact your HS guidance counselor or Big "O" at media@bigorefuse.com.

Scholarships

A graduating senior from Mt. Vernon, Northridge, Johnstown-Monroe, Newark Catholic, Lakewood, Granville, Licking Valley, Newark, Millersport, Heath and Zanesville High Schools will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship to pursue their education at OSU-N or COTC. The student should have at least a 2.5 GPA, a good work ethic, and a strong need for funding support.
